The RoadsLink Character Test is a psychometric test designed to evalutes a drivers behaviour, the test looks at 13 key behavioral and psychological traits linked to driver performance and safety. 

What Does the Character Test include?



The Character Test assesses key behavioral and personality traits such as   emotional stability, sense of responsibility, self-control, non-aggressive behavior, calmness, politeness, anger management, tendencies toward suicide, alcohol-related risks, rule compliance, mental focus, risk avoidance, and environmental awareness.

How the Character Test Works

Each character test consists of 20 questions, drivers respond on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree."

What Do Companies Receive After the Test?


After a driver completes the Character Test, the company receives a detailed and easy to interpret report. This report includes individual scores for each of the 13 traits, along with a summary that classifies the driver into a low, moderate, or high-risk category. 

In addition to numerical scores, the report provides practical recommendations, such as whether a driver should be deployed immediately, placed under observation, or offered specific training.

Once completed, the scores from all items are summed to provide an overall rating of the driver's stress management skills:

For example, in the Mental Stability section, the driver's total score reflects their ability to manage stress while driving, below is the score ranges for this category.

  • 80–100: Excellent stress management skills
    You are highly effective at remaining calm, composed, and in control during stressful driving situations.
  • 60–79: Good stress management skills
    You generally handle stress well, though you may face occasional challenges in high-pressure traffic conditions.
  • 40–59: Moderate stress management skills
    You have some techniques for managing stress but may experience noticeable difficulty in certain situations.
  • Below 40: Low stress management skills
    You often struggle with emotional control while driving and may need support in developing better coping strategies.
